Before hiring the designers needed to make them the award winning design agency they are today, Van Arts & Co needed a brand to set them apart. Focusing in on every designers dream letter combination, it was clear that the husband and wife team wanted to give their agency literal dimension. With its early iterations arising from isometric cubism, it soon became clear, or perhaps not, that an optical illusion could be achieved and the vector form was developed.
The next hurdle was to achieve a 2 colour business card while maintaining dimension – achieved as seen in these mockups using tints and an overprinting grey.
